MANAGEMENT BUY-OUT OF PROPERTY FIRM’S FINE ART AUCTION BUSINESS TO ALLOW FOCUS ON CORE PROPERTY BUSINESS
Published 3 January 2019
Over the festive period we have announced the sale of our Aylsham antique auction house Keys Fine Art Auctioneers to a management buy-out team, to allow Arnolds Keys to continue to focus on our core property business.
Keys Fine Art Auctioneers became part of Arnolds Keys following the merger of Arnolds and Keys in 2012, and has operated as part of the group since that date. Following the retirement of two partners, Keys has seen a new management team led by Fine Art Director, Kevin Lines, who is leading the management buy-out alongside antiques specialist David Broom and other members of the management team.
“We are excited to take the helm at a successful time for Keys with the continuing development of our flagship Fine Sales focusing on high value antiques as well as our traditional business,” said Kevin Lines.
“With significant investment and the emergence of the new management team, Keys Fine Art Auctioneers is in good shape for the future,” said Arnolds Keys Managing Partner Guy Gowing. “At the same time our property business is going from strength to strength, and we wanted to concentrate our efforts on that, which is our core business. So the time was right for Keys’ management to take that business forward.”
